WRITE ALONG:
FOUNDING COHORT
Write the first draft of your book this fall — right alongside me.
Write Along is a 10-week guided drafting experience for writers ready to turn an idea, a rough outline, or an unfinished manuscript into real pages.
From September 14 to November 21, we'll use my book-development framework to move your manuscript forward week by week, while I draft my next book in real time beside you.
Our shared finish line: a working first draft by the time we finish in November.
Tuesdays, 7–8 p.m. ET — Guidance, framework, and weekly goals
Saturdays, 10–11 a.m. ET — Progress check-ins and focused writing
Limited to 15 writers
Bookish Happy Hour Founding Rate: $97

You don't need more information about writing a book.
You need a place where the book is expected to move forward.
Most manuscripts don't stall for lack of talent or ideas. They stall because life is loud, the blank page is intimidating, and no one is waiting for the next chapter. So the idea stays in your head, the outline sits untouched, and another year passes.
Write Along gives your book a weekly focus, a place on your calendar, real deadlines, accountability when your momentum slips, and a community moving toward the same finish line, with a coach writing beside you the whole way.
This isn't another course to watch, save, and return to someday. You'll learn what your manuscript needs at each stage — and then you'll write.
How it works
Write Along is a live, small-group writing cohort built around three things:
Structure. Accountability. Time on the page.
Over the course of the program, you will follow a clear writing plan, work toward defined manuscript milestones, and build a rhythm that helps you keep going when motivation dips.
This will not be another self-paced course full of videos you intend to watch later. It is a working room for writers where we all show up and write.
Tuesday evenings (60 min): Guidance + goals. I teach the week's focus from my framework, help you apply it to your book, and help you set a realistic writing goal. Monday is where we decide what the book needs from you that week. Recorded.
Saturday mornings (60 min): Check-in + writing room. We review your progress, work through where you got stuck, and write together. Saturday is where information becomes pages. Live; may not be recorded.
Between sessions, plan for two independent writing sessions and a weekly goal shaped to your book and your real life. You don't need to write every day — you need a rhythm you can return to.
We Write Together
Most writing programs are taught by someone standing at the front of the room explaining what worked after the hard part was over.
Write Along will be different. I will be writing my own book alongside the cohort.
That means I will be working through the same decisions, resistance, uncertainty, and imperfect pages you are.
You will see how I plan my work, respond when the writing stalls, adjust when life interrupts, and keep moving through the messy middle.
I will not be asking you to do something I am unwilling to do myself. When I ask you to show up to the page, I will be showing up too.
That is what Write Along means.
We write. Together.
Why Write Alongside Me
For the past 15 years, I have worked as a ghostwriter, helping other people turn ideas, expertise, and unfinished thoughts into books.
I have also written 10 books of my own across nonfiction, fiction, and children’s publishing.
Under a pen name, without an existing platform or audience, one of those projects sold 15,000 copies.
I do not share that because publishing success is guaranteed. I share it because strong books do not begin with a perfect platform, unlimited time, or complete confidence.
They begin with a workable process and a writer who keeps returning to the page.
That is what I bring to Write Along: professional writing experience, a practical process, and a willingness to work beside you rather than lecture from a distance.
Who This Is For
Write Along may be a strong fit for you if:
You have a book idea you can't seem to shake — even if it's still messy or hard to explain
You've started before and stalled, and you're tired of starting over
You don't need another course to watch — you need to actually write
You do your best work with a little accountability and a room full of people rooting for you
You do not need a large audience, a polished proposal, or a perfect outline, just the desire to write and a willingness to show up consistently.
Why the Book Matters
A finished book has a way of opening doors. The authors I've worked with have gone on to land speaking engagements, build communities, and launch courses on the foundation of the book they finally wrote.
But every one of those started with a finished manuscript. That's what this fall is about. We get the book written. What you build on it next is up to you.
The 10 weeks
Week 1 — Define the draft: your starting point, target length, and a realistic finish line.
Week 2 — Build the book map: turn your idea into a clear working structure.
Week 3 — Develop your chapters: purpose, reader promise, and the material each one needs.
Week 4 — Begin the manuscript: get past the perfect-opening pressure and start real pages.
Week 5 — Turn ideas into pages: move from notes into prose without editing as you go.
Week 6 — Keep the middle moving: hold the through-line and build momentum.
Week 7 — Write through the rough patches: work through resistance, gaps, and stuck chapters.
Week 8 — Build your finish-line plan: assess what's done and map the path to a complete draft.
Weeks 9–10 — Catch up + close the gaps: no new curriculum — coaching, focused writing, and a plan to finish anything that remains.

No. A clear idea and a commitment to write it are enough — we'll strengthen your structure in the opening weeks. A partial draft, notes, or unfinished chapters are all welcome.
-
They're recorded — watch the replay and keep going. Saturdays are live writing and accountability rooms and may not be recorded, so they're strongly encouraged.
-
No. Write Along is coaching, guidance, and troubleshooting — not line editing or individual manuscript review. Editing comes later, separately.

-
You'll leave with real pages, a clearer writing process, and a specific plan to complete your draft. Your results depend on your starting point and the time you commit.
-
Yes — $97 in full, or two payments of $50, with the second charged September 1.
-
Your payment reserves one of only 15 seats and is non-refundable except if Write Along is canceled by the organizer. On the plan, the second $50 is automatically charged September 1; if it fails, you'll have five days to update your payment before your seat may be released.
Stop carrying the book. Start writing it.
You don't need another season of thinking about it, another folder of scattered notes, or a quieter life before you begin. You need a place to start, a plan to return to, people who notice when you go quiet, and a finish line worth moving toward.
This fall, your book gets more than another promise. It gets written.
